About Sigonella Animal Welfare Society Inc. (SAWS)

Sigonella Animal Welfare Society Inc. (SAWS) is a nonprofit, volunteer-run rescue organization dedicated to helping animals in need in and around the Sigonella community in Sicily.

We focus on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats and dogs through a foster-based system - meaning our animals are cared for in private homes, not shelters. This allows them to receive individual attention, medical care, and the stability they need to prepare for life in a forever home.

SAWS is built on community support, transparency, and responsible rescue practices. Everything we do is made possible through the dedication of our volunteers, foster families, and supporters.
