Fiona’s story didn’t start with Easter joy…
She and her 5 siblings were found abandoned in a wooden box on the roadside 💔

Born mid-January 2025, Fiona has already proven just how strong and full of love she is.

✨ 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁:
• Playful, curious, and fearless
• Loves people (seriously… loves them)
• Sweet, cuddly, and full of affection
• Smart and quick to learn
• Enjoys walks and toys… then nap time right after 💤

She can be a little shy with other dogs at first, but with people? Instant best friend ❤️

Fiona is basically still just a big puppy, with so much love left to give - and she’s waiting for a family to call her own.

Harvey has crossed the rainbow bridge. We imagine

Harvey has crossed the rainbow bridge. We imagine him running free through endless green fields, finally at peace. And when the time came, Harvey was not alone. He was held close by the people who loved him, comforted and surrounded by familiar voices and gentle hands. He was able to pass peacefully, knowing he was safe until his very last breath.

Harvey’s story began with hardship, but it ended with love. And that love is what will always be remembered.

Thank you to his incredible foster family for giving him not just a home, but a life filled with dignity, compassion, and love until the very end.

Thank you, Harvey, for trusting again, for loving so deeply, and for reminding us that no soul is ever beyond hope 🪽🤍

Update on Laila:
Laila WAS found 🙏🏼 and been taken in by her owners again. We had been looking forward to welcoming her to the SAWS family, but sometimes life has other plans and we are happy she is back with her family. We wish Laila all the love in the world, lots of cuddles, and all the treats she can eat 🩷

𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧: 𝗪𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮 - 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 💔🐾

After weeks of fear and searching, Laila’s previous owner has received a tip about where she might be.

She is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝘁, but there may finally be a chance to bring her into safety.
We have been told that 𝗟𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀 🥺 Just imagining her out there by herself is heartbreaking.

Laila is one of Cooper’s “sisters.” When Cooper was rescued, we promised we would do everything we could to help the others too. Now we may have that chance.

But there is one critical problem.
𝗪𝗲 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝟰–𝟱 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀.

If we are able to get her, the family cannot keep her for more than a few days.
This means 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗱𝘆.

Without a foster, we cannot bring her in. And we may lose this chance to save her.
Laila deserves the same chance Cooper got - safety, kindness, and a future 💙

Training with your dog is a very important part of being a dog owner. It may be easier to teach basics when the dog is still young - but of course it is never to late. Many people don’t know how to start so that’s why we offer training camps to ensure strong bonds ✨

A lot of people think SAWS is a building with rows of kennels. The truth is, we have no walls, no cages, and no animal facility.

Our "capacity" to save lives is measured entirely by the number of spare rooms and open hearts in our community. Because we are a 100% foster-based rescue, we can only go as far as our supporters take us.

This Monday, we are at a standstill. Every single one of our foster homes is currently full, and our rescue fund is stretched thin.

To keep our mission moving, we need two things today:

1. Foster Heroes: We have a waiting list of animals in crisis, but we literally have nowhere for them to go. We need new foster homes to step forward so we can say "yes" again.

2. Support for Our Current Residents: Even though we aren't taking new intakes today, the animals currently in our care still need us. Your donations cover the specialized food, heartworm prevention, and medical treatments for the rescues currently tucked safely in our foster homes.

Personality: Sweet, cuddly, and gentle. She has lived happily with cats and young children.

Health/Mobility: Due to a puppyhood injury, her right hind leg has limited use. She is mobile but cannot do stairs—a ground-floor home or elevator is a must.

The Perfect Match: Mia is friendly with other dogs on walks, but she prefers to be the only dog in the home so she can have all the head scratches to herself!

Mia is well-behaved, used to being home during the day, and ready to be your loyal shadow.
